Day 1: Tuesday, September 1st
Depart Toronto (YYZ) at 4:30 PM From Terminal 1 on Air Canada Flight 84 to Tel Aviv (TLV).

Day 2: Wednesday, September 2nd
We will arrive in Tel Aviv at 10:00 AM at Israel’s Ben Gurion International Airport. We will be met by our Tour Guide: Shmulik Eitan (Pronounced: Shmooolick). We will drive to Jaffa for a brief tour of the ancient port. This is where Jonah ran to and where Peter had his rooftop vision. Continue to our seaside hotel for check-in. You are free to explore the many shops of Tel Aviv, swim in the ocean or treat yourself to a beautiful walk along the beach. There will be a mandatory orientation meeting before dinner at 6:30 PM where the tip fee ($180* USD cash) will be collected. Please have U.S. currency for this.

Day 3: Thursday, September 3rd
Start the day as we travel north to the coastal community of Nahsholim, where we will snorkel in the Mediterranean searching for the Murex snail, from which the dye is extracted to make the biblical blue for the tassels of the prayer shawl. Continue to Zippori National Park to see the great zodiac of the synagogue, and hear on-location teaching about God’s “Story in the Stars”. End the day by heading towards Nazareth to visit Kfar Kedem, a community that has been designed to recreate life during the time of Abraham. Here we will dress up in period appropriate clothing, learn to make goat cheese, milk a goat, make your own pita, then finish by riding a donkey.

Day 4: Friday, September 4th
Enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Visit the museum that houses the famous 2000-year-old “Jesus Boat”. Visit Capernaum, the centre of Jesus’ ministry in the Galilee. Visit ancient Migdal and see a newly excavated synagogue and mikvah. There will be an opportunity to be baptized in the Jordan River (optional—$15 USD per person for towel and certificate).

Day 5: Saturday, September 5th
We head north to Caesarea Philippi mentioned in Matthew 16 where we will get our first taste of the Golan Heights. Explore the Nimrod Castle—a medieval fortress situated on the southern slopes of Mount Hermon. Ascend Mount Bental for a magnificent view of the land and learn of its important history to Israel.

Day 6: Sunday, September 6th
We start heading south through the Jordan Valley. Visit the famous Beit Alpha Synagogue and its massive mosaic floor. Pass by Jericho and the place where Joshua led the Israelites across the Jordan River. Head to Kalia Beach at the Dead Sea for an opportunity to float in the saltiest body of water and the lowest point on our planet. We arrive in Jerusalem and drive to the Mount of Olives for a spectacular view of the Old City. The vista includes the southern steps of the Temple, the Temple Mount, the Eastern Gate, a 2000-year-old cemetery and the Kidron Valley.

Day 7: Monday, September 7th
Visit the Western Wall where you’ll have time to reflect and pray and then go underground, walking parallel to the ancient city wall through Western Wall Tunnels. We’ll also visit the Pools of Bethesda. Ramparts walk.

Day 8: Tuesday, September 8th
Visit the Garden of Gethsemane for a time of personal prayer and reflection. Conclude the day with a visit to the Garden Tomb where we celebrate communion together.

Day 9: Wednesday, September 9th
Our final stop is awesome! It’s called Avshalom Cave and you will love every second of it. Known for its high concentration of stalactites—a type of formation that hangs from the ceilings of caves. You’ll think you’re on another world! Spend one final afternoon and evening in Tel Aviv.

Day 10: Thursday, September 10th
Depart Tel Aviv at 11:45 AM on Air Canada Flight 85 and arrive in Toronto at 4:25 PM.
